In Osun State? Don’t Forget to Visit the Palace of The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ojaja II

The Historical Palace which serves as both the residence and the court of the traditional ruler of Ife is the actual birthplace of the Yoruba race and culture. The location the palace is built is believed to contain the spot where the first blacksmith vanished from earth, to continue his existence underground. Before the emergence of any new king special traditional rites must be performed and made to enable a peaceful stay for the new king.
The Present Ooni Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi Ojaja II is known for his ever peaceful nature and his advocacy for the empowerment and emancipation of women and young people. He has created few monuments across the city in his short time as king already and has transformed the City of Ile-Ife to a beautiful tourist zone. Kabiyesi is also known for his philanthropic gestures and his commitment to humanity by supporting the less privileged and granting support constantly to various human development schemes.
